Patterson California Boudoir Photographer | What To Wear To A Boudoir Photography Session

Do you ever tear your closet apart, looking for an outfit to wear?  I know I do!  Clothes strewn all over, discarded like banana peels after an epic smoothie party.  Yep, sometimes it's hard to find the perfect outfit. I feel ya, girl.  I've been there. What to wear??

When I get an inquiry about a boudoir session, I arrange to meet with the gal for an in person consultation, here in Patterson, California.  During that meeting, since we are going to be a bit more intimately involved shortly down the road, we get to know one another.  We chat about why she is doing the session, whether it's for her or a sexy gift  for her significant other.  We talk about the variety of ways to preserve her images, and how to prepare for her session. The one item that always comes up is, "what should I wear?"

In an effort to avoid a smoothie party incident, I have a lingerie guide with boudoir wardrobe ideas on it that my fabulous client gets to take home with her.  I also have a board on Pinterest. Don't you love Pinterest? Each pin on my board has an explanation as to why I think it is a favorable or less-favorable choice.  Since it's online, she can refer back to it, on her smart phone, while out shopping or as she is digging through her "funderwear drawer" at home.  Between clicking through my board and the guide, my girl will have a great idea about what to wear to a boudoir shoot. I'll get you there, girl, don't worry.  And I too have a smart phone, so she can totally call me with questions or dressing room selfies.  Yep, its happened. I'm cool like that.

For the record, wearing nothing-at-all is very pretty.  "Just a sheet" leaves a little bit to the imagination.  Women are blessed with great curves.  To show them off, a simple white sheet is a fantastic option.  I can lay the sheet just-so, exposing only the important curves.  That pretty curve of your back, the seductive hip, the alluring cleavage, and the lengthy legs... all uninterrupted by panties, bra, or whatever else she may have had on before I pulled the sheet out.  Yep, a sheet works just fine.  So don't worry too much about what to wear for your session.  Take it easy on the smoothie party and let's show off those curves.
